Communication System for Managing a Swarm of Unmanned Ground Vehicles

Abstract:

Along with the increase in Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) usage, entire groups of such platforms (swarms) are also becoming more and more popular. Therefore, ensuring effective communication between the manager and elements of such a swarm has also become an important issue. This paper presents a communication system for managing a group of UGVs. The main emphasis is placed on the system architecture, communication protocol, and server software.
