Abstract:
Electromobility is developing in all European countries. With the increasing number of electric vehicles on the road, the development of charging infrastructure for these vehicles is also emerging. However, user concerns about operating and owning electric vehicles are still being observed. The most commonly analyzed factor is the cost that owners of these vehicles must be ready to bear. Many literature sources compare and analyze the cost of the energy required to start and use electric vehicles. However, it is not just energy costs that make up the total cost of owning such a vehicle. What is missing is an analysis of the difference between the cost of maintenance and operation of electric vehicles and that of internal combustion engine vehicles. This paper presents a results of research regarding the repair and servicing costs of electric and hybrid vehicles compared to combustion vehicles.
