Abstract:
This paper presents a non-parametric approach to the measurement of eco-innovation efficiency in the EU member countries. The ultimate purpose is to identify countries which are efficient in transforming eco-innovation input into eco-innovation output. The database consists of 20 EU countries. The data were obtained from Eco-Innovation Scoreboard. We employed a constant-returns-to-scale output-oriented Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to calculate the coefficients of technical efficiency for all combinations of two inputs and two outputs. The analyses allowed us to indicate the most efficient countries and the least efficient countries in the sample .
