Abstract:

Regions in Romania, in order to identify which are the counties where the investments in the storage areas have been sufficiently well dimensioned so as to allow the storage of the whole cereals production registered at the farm level and which is the area where it is necessary to make significant investments in the construction of such spaces for the cereals harvested. The main agricultural products that can be stored under appropriate conditions are: wheat, corn, sunflower and rapeseed. The investments in the Romanian farms are among the most various, but they have as their final goal the obtaining of a high production and capitalization prices corresponding to the quality and quantity delivered. Among the most expensive investments on the farm are the purchase of agricultural land, technical equipment with high performance machinery and investments in storage areas. Such storage spaces allow the farmer to capitalize on his production at the right time, when the quantity and quality of the products are essential for setting the price. Depending on the production capacity registered at the farm level, the investor can choose different types of storage, such as a silo, an agricultural hall or a multifunctional warehouse. The investment in a silo represents a greater investment than a multifunctional warehouse and this storage method is recommended for farmers whose production exceeds 500 tonnes/year.
