Abstract:
In article, the comparative analysis of the organization of mortgage lending systems in Germany, the USA and Russia are investigated. Information base of a research were data of the European mortgage federation, Russian Agency for housing mortgage lending, the mortgage agency Fannie Mae. In the framework of this study, authors of the paper analyzed the assessment of housing availability based on index HAI. As a result, it was revealed that according to the calculated index the most affordable housing is in Germany. This fact is caused by high share of initial fee for which the potential buyer spends rather long time and also quite stable high income. Housing in the USA, in which at best the index HAI is 77%, is recognized as the least available.
