Abstract:

This paper deals with Asian tourists’ preferences when visiting the Czech Republic, specifically two favourite touristic destinations: Český Krumlov and Praha. In recent years, both cities have become popular destinations of Asian tourists. Therefore, this paper focuses on identification of main differences in preferences of Asian in both destinations. In order to obtain relevant data, a mix of method was used: questionnaires for tourists and semi-structured interviews with managers of accommodation facilities and employees of tourism attractions. As it has been shown by previous researches Švec, Martíšková, Slabá (2018), it was found out Asian tourists are interested in history of the visited region and like active participation in programmes in their holiday destination. On the other hand it can be said, Asian tourists are not motivated by natural attractions and they do not seek out sports activities and attractions connected with adventure.
