Abstract:

Machine learning is nowadays a very popular field of science that is being applied in more and more spheres of our lives. This paper analyses popular machine learning algorithms in the application of salary prediction. Chapter one presents the algorithms used in the experiment. Chapter two unveils selected implementations of these algorithms and measures opted for assessing the quality of the results of these algorithms. The third chapter presents the results of the experiment. The fourth chapter contains the conclusions from the study. They implicate that the LightGBM and Fast Tree algorithms perform best. Of the two, however, Light GBM achieves similar results in less time.
