Abstract:

In an era of rapidly growing data sets across all fields of science and industry, classification methods have become an indispensable tool for acquiring knowledge and making decisions. Classifiers, fundamental machine learning algorithms, allow input data to be automatically grouped into predefined categories based on their features. Classification has been applied in a wide range of fields, ranging from filtering spam in internet communications, to advanced internet sales recommendation systems and facilitating pattern recognition in medical images.
