Comparisons of Fuzzy Numbers using Defuzzification Methods

Abstract:

Article concerns an issue of comparing fuzzy numbers. The relation of similarity is probably the most widely used and most difficult to precisely determine the measure of compliance. Analysis of the similarity between two objects is an essential tool in biology, taxonomy, psychology, and is the basis for reasoning by analogy. This article describes methods for determining the similarity used in the fuzzy logic. Many of them was dedicated only to triangular or trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. This was an inconvenience computing and placed the question of the axiological basis for such comparisons. The authors have proposed two new approaches for comparing fuzzy numbers using ordered fuzzy numbers. This made it possible to simplify operations and elimination of that dualism.
