Abstract:
This research analyzes the relationship between competitiveness and economic development in the Credit and Savings Unions (UNICAS) of Cajamarca, Peru, during 2025. Using a quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional approach, surveys were applied to UNICAS members to assess dimensions such as organizational management, financial training, product diversification, and financial stability. The results show a positive and significant correlation between institutional competitiveness and economic development, demonstrating that organizational efficiency, financial education, and service diversification strengthen members’ economic well-being. The study provides empirical evidence for designing strategies and policies that promote financial inclusion and sustainable development in rural areas.
