Abstract:
This study is based on the performance analysis of football players from five significant countries: United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. It uses a carefully chosen set of key variables that have relevance in the field of football. Data extraction and cleaning were performed using the WorldfootballR package in the R programming environment. This study sheds light on potential research avenues, such as expanding the analysis to encompass a wider range of countries and deepening the intricate relationship between player performance and socio-economic factors. With this comprehensive overview, the analysis provides an initial look at the performance of football players and the disparities that exist on an international scale, therefore a solid foundation can be established for future research in this area.
