Abstract:

In the paper, a concept for a management information system for agriculture support is presented. On the basis of an analysis of the literature on contemporary challenges in the development of agriculture, and also on the basis of a questionnaire survey on the information needs of farmers in view of theoretical models, a concept for an E-Agribusiness platform was presented. The platform’s objective is to improve the competitiveness of farms through support in breeding and agri-animal and crop production, ensuring optimal conditions for the production of safe food and to provide the basis for the development of sustainable agricultural areas while maintaining the principles of environmental protection based on the promotion of precision agriculture and decision support in agribusiness.
