Concept of Medical Transport between Units of the Medical University of Warsaw

Abstract:

The development of unmanned aerial vehicles, and especially of this type of aircraft, increases the attractiveness of this solution in military and civilian applications. Changes in aviation law and regulations concerning the separation of unmanned aerial vehicles traffic at low altitudes significantly expand the scope of using UAS in the United States, the European Union, and also in developing countries. Currently, the transport of medical goods in times of critical need is limited to land vehicles and manned aircraft, which is costly and often too long in relation to needs. This article describes the current state of research, as well as the practical applications of UAVs in medical transport, as well as their strengths, weaknesses and potential directions of development. A plan for an experiment in medical transport using unmanned platforms over short and long distances was also presented.
