Conceptual Model of Formation of System Engineering Competence: Essence and Didactic Instrumentation

Abstract:

The requirements of the new technological structure for engineering activities and engineering training are analyzed. The purpose of the research is to develop a conceptual model for the formation of students' system engineering competence, within which the pedagogical tasks of each stage and the functions of the didactic tools are determined. To achieve this goal, it is proposed to use a specially organized system of graphic forms for presenting information as a basic didactic toolkit, which will allow us to realize a conceptual model of forming system engineering competence that we have previously presented. The conceptual model we have presented is equipped with advanced didactic tools in the form of a specially organized system of graphical information presentation forms. It is focused on taking into account the stylistic peculiarities of perception of information and the student’s vital experience, and allows designing a systematic semiotic language for each level of engineering education, which sets the general logic for describing complex task systems and allows a future worker or engineer, researcher or manager to reduce their complexity by building simplified visual models.
