If librarians are unapproachable, how will a library be able to achieve the goal, vision and mission? Here, the existence of a personal branding is needed. A great personal brand is very much needed for librarians as the image of what the public has on them is very much academic. Having a positive personal brand would allow librarians to represent the level of knowledge and professionalism they posses. This paper presents a conceptual framework of developing personal branding for librarians based on literature reviews. The conceptual framework will discuss on the three facets of a librarian’s personal branding namely, level of education, competencies and interests. The discussions also include how personal branding plays an important role in a librarianship profession.
