Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to highlight the extent to which management tools and techniques are used to implement corporate social responsibility by small and medium enterprises in the tourism sector in Romania in the context of globalization demands. To achieve the proposed objective, the author conducted a study based on a questionnaire, in the period 2012-2014 in 263 small and medium enterprises operating in the tourism sector in Valcea county, in Romania. Research results reveals that small and medium enterprises from tourism sector in Romania are using management techniques and tools to help them in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of performance and business risk. Instead, those enterprises highlight in a small extent these techniques and tools in the integrating process of social responsibility in their activity.
