Abstract:
The article highlights the changes in the modern labour sphere connected with the development of new communication technologies, information society and digital economy. These phenomena affect the way employees perform work, the time of work, the tools of communication for the purpose of work, while also the scope of independence in performing professional duties. Moreover, the requirements of the competition on the global market influence the necessity of digitalization, implementing new technologies and innovative solutions in the companies. The aim of the study was to investigate the modern labour conditions connected with the implementation of new communication technologies in Poland and the development of digital economy and formulate certain recommendations for the management of the enterprises. It presents the results of the survey research conducted in 2019 on the 179 companies largest by revenue in Poland and the research conducted in 2018 on the 276 employees working in the Częstochowa district. The results of the study may be of interest to the researchers of the subject of new phenomena on the labour market and the relations between new technologies and the performance of contemporary companies. Moreover, the article provides several recommendations for practitioners of management of organizations.
