Abstract:
IT strategic alignment is a subject that is constantly surfacing these last years. To keep up with a market in rapid evolution, companies must keep their (Information System) in perfect alignment with their strategic objectives. In this context, several frameworks have been developed to propose scientific approaches for IT strategic alignment and IS governance and management. Indeed, large renown companies all over the world based their IS management and governance processes on reputed frameworks in this domain such as COBIT5, ITIL,TOGAF, and ZACKMAN, (OpenGroup, 2012). Unfortunately, these frameworks are not adapted to SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) mainly in developing countries. The main aim of this paper is to propose a novel approach that can be used by Moroccan SME to engage their IS strategic alignment. This approach is based on COBIT5 and relies on two phases distinguishing between external stakeholders needs and internal ones. Our approach has been tested in a Moroccan SME and leaded to tangible results presented in this paper.Â
