Conflict Management: Practical Experience Of Russian Enterprises

Abstract:

From ancient times until the present day there have always been conflicts between people. They are inevitable and endless and they arise in the process of human interaction. The purpose of this study is to focus on the theoretical aspects of conflict management within organizations and to analyze the activities of the managers of the company in order to give some recommendations how to reduce the level of conflict. The authors used V.P. Zakharov’s method to assess the leadership style. A.A. Urbanovich’s method was used to assess the level of conflict and to identify styles. To give recommendations how to reduce the level of conflict, the authors have analyzed the types of strategic behavior of managers related to Thomas–Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument. In accordance with the results of the conducted research, the authors of the article have taken certain measures to reduce the level of conflict and to improve the social and psychological climate in the company. This study has practical significance as the authors give some recommendations how to manage organizational conflicts arising in the companies that have similar problems and a similar social and psychological climate.
