Abstract:

Abstract: Industry 4.0, which is a concept of data exchange, technology, and computerization of an enterprise, becomes the basis for building a competitive advantage. It is a modern concept of enterprise automation and computerization. First of all, it is the answer to the need to adapt enterprises to the constantly changing external environment. It is a new, emerging ideology already being implemented in many enterprises. This paper presents the assumptions of the doctrine of Industry 4.0. Theoretical considerations were supported by research results on the consequences of implementing the concept of Industry 4.0 in the SME sector in Poland.
