Abstract:

The article takes up the subject of the determinants of digital security management in 4.0 organizations perceived through the prism of development and gaps in digital competences of work resources. It presents the distinctive features of the digital revolution technology and the competency challenges facing the 4.0 organization. The evolution of the conceptualization of the concept of digital competences in the strategic development documents of the European Union is outlined, taking into account the area of digital security. The progress of digital transformation of selected countries is analyzed on the basis of the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI 2019-2020). The conclusions lead to recommendations in the area of directions for the development of digital competences of work resources.
