Abstract:
Innovation is becoming more open, involving more diverse groups of participants and contributors than ever before. This trend has determined that in recent decades there have been significant changes in the nature of the relationship between universities and the subjects of the regional innovation system (RIS). Along with the traditional functions: educational (training), research (generation of new areas of knowledge and generations of technology) and educational and professional (formation of productive interaction of graduates with the environment), new functions of universities have emerged, among which we will single out the integration and transfer of knowledge, entrepreneurship, creation new types of activity, businesses, innovation infrastructure. The contribution of the university to the balanced development of the regional innovation system is growing
