Abstract:

There is a compelling need for entrepreneurial firms in Nigeria to reposition their businesses through the adoption and application of good corporate governance and effective leadership principles. This paper examined the relationship between corporate governance and effective leadership on entrepreneurial development in Nigeria. It adopted theoretical and conceptual analysis. Based on the analysis, the paper suggests that corporate governance and effective leadership has a far reaching effect on the development and survival of entrepreneurship in Nigeria with the potential of endearing trust needed to make them globally competitive. It further established a conceptual connection between corporate governance, effective leadership and entrepreneurship.
