Abstract:

IT plays an important role in the success of most financial institution.  However, over the years management has realized that there is a gap between organizational goals and objectives and strategic IT investment.  This paper open the discussion on the criteria that should be considered in IT investment decisions in the financial industry.  The criteria are summarized in three main principles:  strong link among strategic intention, IT investment decision, and the return on organizational strategy and performance
