Abstract:
Corporate social responsibility efforts are fundamentally important to the existence of business. In determining the success of CSR, employees are most important stakeholders of the organization for conducting its activities. Thus when employees perceive that organization value their relationship within the environment, there is a positive engagement and a sense of belonging in the organization.
The present study investigates the relationship between corporate social responsibility and employees’ welfare. The study tends to examine employees perception of CSR activities in the organization. The CSR variables selected for use in this research are workplace policies, environmental policies, marketplace policies and community policies. The study will use an exploratory approach for collection of data from the telecommunication sector in Nigeria. Thus, the study discusses the implication of employee involvement in CSR activities that will foster employee organizational welfare and improve organizational performance.
