Abstract:

In forestry costs can be expressed in monetary units more easily, unlike the benefits of activities. That is why we believe that cost-effectiveness analysis can be enlightening to assess forestry activity. In our opinion, is desirable to improve this type of analysis. In this paper we set the main methodological issues that should be considered by the cost-effectiveness analysis, to assess economic activity of Romanian forestry units. We are showing a cost-effectiveness analysis example by developing a case study on the Moldovita Forest District of the Suceava Forestry Department.
