Abstract:

The models for costs evaluation in the field of public healthcare services are very important due to their influence over the efficiency in this important area of social life. This aspect has a great significance, as the global economic crisis has affected the material resources, human resources, but most of all the financial resources of the governments. The technical progress dynamics applied in sanitary field increases the size and complexity of the costs assessment in this field, requiring laborious analytical calculations. In the following paper we will analyze interesting aspects regarding the models for costs evaluation in healthcare services and the evolution of these costs. A particular attention will be given to the size of sanitary units and the influence to the costs.
