Abstract:
The small and medium enterprises sector, in spite of facing numerous financial, legal, organizational or personnel challenges, must also analyse the market situation and seek innovative inspirations. A special type of innovations includes process innovations, which affect the company’s situation in a very broad scope. They concern the entire process executed in organizations. The variable market causes that one cannot be content with just imitation of competition but has to be one step ahead. This requires sufficient financial, human and information resources. This article is an attempt to define the relations between sources of information and types of innovations implemented in the organization. The research was conducted on a sample of 242 SMEs. The results indicate positive correlations in examined enterprises between selected variables.
