Abstract:

The economic crisis has an effect locally, but also globally. The economic crisis is an economic downturn, which has various causes, having global effects on all areas of activity. This phenomenon affects by default the banking system. In this time of economic crisis the banking system reactions are diverse and intense. Thus, many customers decide to withdraw their money from banks, to give up different services and the loans attracted drop considerably. These are among the recorded effects of the economic crisis on banks. This paper analyzes the global economic crises and identifies the factors, the effects and transmission channels of the economic crises. Following the identification of these general issues affecting all areas of activity the effects of the economic crisis in the banking system are presented. Finally the conclusions of this research are stated.
