Abstract:
Functions of management are constantly evolving and responding to changing environmental conditions. We consider the global economic crisis as one of the most significant environmental changes as it represents a sudden discontinuation of the business operations. Usually, the business starts with planning as s simulation of how to achieve the goal. Its future and goal oriented nature help businesses to achieve its goals and to prepare for eventualities. In this paper, we study how companies used the planning to deal with the global economic crisis. We conducted research on a sample of 115 companies. To analyze the companies we used descriptive and inductive statistical methods on a significance level <0.05. As a result, we found the support of planning as a way to help companies overcome the crisis.
