Current Sources of Threats to the State Structures of the Republic of Poland in the Context of Civilization Areas Defined by Carroll Quigley

Abstract:

The scientific goal of the article is to pay special attention to the threats to Polish state structures in the context of selected civilization planes defined by the American historian and theorist of the evolution of civilization by Carroll Quigley. In the monograph entitled The Evolution of Civilizations: An Introduction to Historical Analysis. Indianapolis: Liberty Fund Inc. (2nd ed. 1979) he distinguished the following aspects: intellectual / technological, religious, social, economic, political / legal, and military. This type of division is often used among researchers of the evolution of global trends. In this case, however, there was a deliberate narrowing of the description of the impact area of these trends to the territory of the Republic of Poland. An attempt was made to answer the question what types of threats are currently the greatest challenge for the Polish state, with particular emphasis on threats arising from the development of technology. During the research process, theoretical research methods were used, i.e. bibliographic query, critical analysis of the subject literature, selection and serious assessment of the source monograph. Thanks to analysis and synthesis, gradual abstraction, comparison and generalization, the inference phase has begun.
