The current situation in the countries is monitored by various experts from different areas. In countries, various social, economic and demographic factors are monitored. One of the demographic factors that has recently been increasingly resonating in the professional community is the issue of labour migration. Labour immigration is becoming a resonant topic in the professional community, mainly due to the current demographic situation in most countries of the world. The share of the productive population is constantly decreasing and the share of the post-productive population is constantly increasing. The phenomenon is associated with the problem of labour shortages in the labour market, and therefore individual countries are trying to fill the missing labour force by immigrants from abroad. The main aim of the paper is to find out trends in the development of labour force immigration to the territory of the Slovak Republic in the last five years. The main objective is pursued at national and regional level of NUTS 3. We also identified the convergence of NUTS 3 regions in the number of working immigrants. The sorting characteristics are the initial value of the number of working immigrants and the average growth coefficient of the number of working immigrants over the last five years.
