Abstract:
The development of the Internet and modern technologies irreversibly changes the modern world and affects the functioning of almost all spheres of life. Cyberspace is becoming a natural environment for functioning for many people, especially for representatives of the young generation. The growing activity in the use of information and communication technologies, however, creates a number of new threats to which children and young people are particularly exposed.
The purpose of the article is to attempt to define the most important dangers associated with the use of the Internet by minors and to critically analyse solutions and proposals aimed at raising the level of cybersecurity in Poland by limiting access to pornographic material.
Based on the collected data on threats related to the access of minors to dangerous content, in particular pornographic materials and actions taken to limit their accessibility, the basic elements on which the IT security model of children and adolescents should be based have been indicated. The research method adopted by the author is secondary research, based on analysis of the literature, research results and legal regulations regarding cybersecurity.
