Abstract:
The advantage of using NoSQL databases for certain business cases is indisputable when taking into consideration criteria like scalability, access speed, complex data handling, each having significant weight. The flexibility that these data types have due to the lack of a clearly defined schema shouldn't be mistaken with the lack of a data modeling process need. Such a process brings benefits for the communication among specialists, for a correct implementation and for possible changes that can be completed with ease. The quality evaluation of the used models to describe the data stored in the NoSQL database is the subject of this paper. The purpose is to mark the particularities that these models have from the quality point of view, in comparison with other known data models. To reach this goal, we intend to identify quality attributes that are right in the evaluation process for these data models.
