Abstract:
The Constitution of the Republic of Poland, through the provisions of Article 85, imposes an obligation to defend the homeland on all citizens. This obligation may be fulfilled by military service, service in militarized units, service in civil defense and performance of defense services. Benefits for the defense apply to all Polish citizens, they will be used in situations of natural disasters and as part of the defense of the homeland. The basic legal document regulating the issues of defense benefits is the Act of November 21, 1967 on the universal obligation to defend the homeland, which divides benefits into personal, material and special.
