Deficiency in the Management of Protection of Women from Violence: Cases in Indonesia

Abstract:

The violence against women is closely related to domestic violence (domestic violence). According to the Constitution No. 23 of 2004 on domestic violence defines domestic violence is all he has done to women, where these activities can cause misery for women or causee suffering physical, sexual, psychological. Domestic violence also includes the Act of neglect towards women, threats, coercion, or deprivation of unlawful within the domestic sphere. Definition of violence against women is all actions that caused some problems for women in the form of physical, sexual, psychological, or economic problems. Violence against women is all people's behavior towards women that can lead to physical, sexual or psychological, including the physical beatings, forced sexual relations, or psychological abuse. Indonesia is guaranteeing protection to all citizens regardless of gender. It is stated in Article 28 of the Constitution states that everyone is entitled to protection and are entitled to facilities for obtaining the same chance to achieve equality and justice. The constitution rejects discrimination in any form, including in the form of violence.
