Design of the Personnel Management Model by Competence in Enterprises: A Case Study

Abstract:

For today's organizations, it is essential to have people who possess the appropriate characteristics that contribute to the fulfillment of the company's general objectives and goals. The objective of this work is to design a model of Personnel Management by Competencies in a Chilean company. The methodology used contemplates the revision of the vision, mission and values, designs the processes of management of people by competencies and formulates the indicators of management. As a result, it was obtained that for the position of laboratory assistant in the balance of 81% of fulfillment of the general and specific competences of this position. Finally, it is concluded that the model articulates in a key way the mission and business vision with the organizational culture of the company and also allows the development of the skills of the people and the organization in a constantly changing environment.
