Abstract:

Decision-making is an essential process in most of the business fields. Computer business is an example of a field that decision-making process is essential for
it. Hardware technology is moving rapidly and its cost is also changing rapidly from day to another. So, selecting compatible computer components or making managers decide which hardware component to invest in future, needs too much effort and experience to make the right decision. Integrating both active database system and neural network as an information technology branch can offer an effective method for solving this problem in a friendly and easy manner. The main objective of this paper is developing an intelligent database computer component system to improve the capabilities of choosing, buying, upgrading and investing in PC’s components. The system is implemented by using VB.net and SQL server for building its knowledge base, and neurosolutions-5 for predicting the future cost of any PC component.
