Abstract:
Both geographically and demographically, Indonesia has an attraction for international tourism. This potential is developed through tourism that focuses on indigenous people or known as indigenous tourism. Indigenous tourism is one form of a new paradigm of tourism development that carries the principle of sustainable development. The main point of indigenous tourism is to maximize the role of indigenous peoples in various aspects of tourism development. Maximum involvement of indigenous people from the planning process to implementation determines the sustainability of tourism development. This became the basis for conducting research on the level of sustainable indigenous tourism in the Betawi Village of Setu Babakan, Srengseng Sawah Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province. Setu Babakan is intended for the preservation and advancement of Betawi culture. This study aims to determine the level of sustainable indigenous tourism in the Betawi Village of Setu Babakan, Srengseng Sawah Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province. The measurement of the sustainability level was carried out through the Sustainable Indigenous Tourism Barometer (SITB). Based on the Sustainable Indigenous Tourism Barometer (SITB) there are three aspects to determine the level of sustainability of indigenous tourism, namely community resources, community development and sustainable tourism. This study uses a quantitative approach and mixed methods using questionnaires and in-depth interviews. A questionnaire survey was conducted on the indigenous Betawi people who lived in Betawi Village of Setu Babakan, Srengseng Sawah Village, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta City, DKI Jakarta Province.
