Abstract:
”Robot” is a relatively new term, as it was coined at the beginning of the 20th century. As indicated by Ł. Sarowski, a Czech writer Karel Čapek used this term for the first time in a play titled Rossumovi Univerzální Roboti in 1921. That term originates from the Slavic word ”robota”, that means effort, hard work (Sarowski, 2017, p. 78).
