Abstract:
In the contemporary context, electronic payment systems play an enormous role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the country's financial system. The globalization of international relations requires a quick transfer of funds, at the same time an increase in the number of payments is observed globally, which makes the improvement of payment systems and the use of new technologies based on advances in telecommunications and computer networks necessary. The object of this research is to develop methodological framework concerning the functioning of network payment systems in the Russian market. An analysis of theoretical studies has allowed to establish the factors that influence the results of operation of network payment systems. Systematization of these factors has been performed and their characteristics have been investigated. As a result of the analysis of factors, the main instruments used in the process of making settlements are identified. A methodological approach to the classification of these instruments is proposed following such classification criteria as user identification, crediting funds, withdrawal and depositing of funds, additional services. The studies that were carried out allowed us to develop an algorithm for selecting the instruments for the functioning of network payment systems in the Russian market. This algorithm was tested within the framework of the largest network payment systems in the Russian market. The results of this study will allow to manage the process of selecting instruments to improve the performance of network payment systems under conditions of the Russian economy.
