Development of Social Infrastructure in the Regions of the State with a Federal Structure (On the Example of the Regions of the Central and North-West Federal Districts of the Russian Federation)

Abstract:

The issues of the development of social infrastructure in the regions of the Russian Federation (a state with a federal structure) are examined on the example of the subjects of the central (CFD) and North-West (NWFD) federal districts. It is substantiated that the level and quality of life of the population depends on the condition and prospects of development of this sphere. The methodology for assessing the infrastructure in the health sector and its testing in the regions of the Central Federal District and the North-West Federal District are presented. Based on the results of assessing the level of development of the social health infrastructure of these regions, a conclusion has been made on their differentiation: regions-leaders and regions-outsiders.A number of conclusions and proposals on the further development of the social health infrastructure in the regions that can be used for similar studies in countries with a federal structure are formulated.
