Abstract:
A transfer to an innovative model of the Russian economy is ensured by its diversification and modernization, the most efficient factors of improving competitiveness and stability of the economy at all levels and are sometimes the only means of ‘survival’ of a company in conditions of market uncertainty. The system of technologically innovative development, which includes these conditions, consists of chains of innovation projects with inherently high investment risks requiring joint efforts of the government and business. Our research compares Russian and foreign experience of venture investment to single out the priority goals of the venture industry development in the Russian economy. The current general economic situation creates new challenges for venture industry institutes. Removal of negative factors will clearly require more effort than before. This is why the results of our research could come handy for various Russian venture market participants as well as specialists dealing with this industry in general and will ensure deeper understanding of the situation and possible solutions in the system of economic security of the country.
