Development Trends of the Risk Management Concept and its Implications in Projects Financed from European Structural Funds and Investment Funds

Abstract:

Although most experts in the field argue that management is a creation that belongs to the recent history of the last century, which, above all, managed to fundamentally modify the processes of organizing, coordinating and conducting the activities undertaken in today's society with the purpose of generating progress and development, it must be borne in mind that the emergence and shaping of this science can be equally attributable to the concerns, needs and theories present in people's lives since antiquity. Their evolution, occurring on the basis of research undertaken over time, has allowed the emergence, development and integration of the management science and its sub-branches into modern society. The aforementioned aspect is by no means negligible as it is able to support and demonstrate that a science should have no limits as regards the possibility of developing new processes, mechanisms, techniques, ideologies and the like. Based on the above considerations, we appreciate that the situation of the risk management concept is largely on a level similar to that of management science, characterized by the existence of a number of developmental trends and, at the same time, the need for additional research in order to achieve conditions of maximum effectiveness of the objectives set in any field of activity and / or situation.
