Abstract:

The number of overnight stays and the tourist accommodation capacity in function are two important indicators that characterize the movement of tourist in a tourist area registered in a given period. This paper presents an analysis of the number of tourist overnight stays in the period 1990 - 2009 by Romanians and foreigners categories of tourists. Also are analyzed the structural changes held  during this period. The analyzes of trends in the evolution of the number of overnight stays and accommodation capacity in function are supplemented by an analysis of the interdependence of these two indicators using parametric correlation method ANOVA (analyze of variance).
