Abstract:

The problems of the inequality of the regions of Russia in the economic and social development have been on the agenda for the recent years. The main goal facing the authorities of the Russian Federation should be to smooth out the socio-economic differences at the regional level and at the national level in general, and this is required by the current situation in the country. Only an effective economic and financial policy at the state level will eliminate these imbalances.
