Abstract:
This study focused to evaluate and compare the level of target achievement by permanent workforce and contingent workforce and if they are recoded significantly difference each other, then identifying the factors that responsible to that significance difference. The population of the study represented permanent and contract employees who worked in same manufacturing plants and performing same function in reputed company in Sri Lanka. The selected sample for the research is consisted by 50 permanent employees and 121 contract employees and it was selected by using stratified random sampling approach. According to the study contract employees has achieved and exceed the given target than the permanent employees and it was identified that the quality of the workforce, level of management concern and level of awareness about the company are not significantly different among those two groups and the level of commitment is only factor accountable for the significance difference in level of target achievement.
