Abstract:
The article deals with the general theme of digitization of archival materials, electronic documents and long-term storage of such data in the archives. This topic which is currently a lot debated in the Czech Republic can be divided into three main parts: the term digitization and electronic document with respect to the Czech archival and valid legislation, the issue of long-term storage of electronic documents and their disclosure, including the national digital archive and eGovernment.
