Dissemination Of New Technologies In Helping As A System Supporting The Safety Of Tourism.

Abstract:

Safety is one of the basic human needs. The need to pay attention to safety over water is indicated by the activities of the World Health Organization, which states that drowning is one of the most common causes of unintentional damage to health or loss of life, and as the cause of death it accounts for as much as 7% of all deaths. The use of new technologies in rescue operations is of great importance due to the difficulty of determining the place of the incident, the victim's presence and precise geolocation at the time of calling for help. The aim of this work is to present the currently used and tested rescue applications as part of the Water Rescue Services in the operation of the system in the West Pomeranian Region in Poland. Organizational assumptions for the supply of events occurring in water areas and the methods of calling for help are presented. Then, an analysis of the calls and the activities in 2010-2018 was performed. The use of new technologies in security is crucial to accelerate rescue operations. At the same time, the use of such applications and the availability of services increase the sense of security of tourists. Using the Rescue application allows you to quickly and purposefully find a person on the water and determine the direction of their movement.
