Drinking Water Quality Management in Cracow, Poland: A Case Study

Abstract:

Quality is a multidimensional category the assessment of which consists in analysing a set of characteristics whose level is determined by various factors. The choice of such characteristics as well as the characterisation of the relations that determine water quality depends on its intended use. In this context, there arises the problem of specifying the subset of the critical characteristics as well as other quality features that can be subject to valuation. Quality features of drinking water, also termed as quality parameters, which should be used in the evaluation of water quality, are precisely specified in legal regulations.
